A Brief Case of George Melly's Briefcase

A BRIEF CASE OF GEORGE MELLY'S BRIEFCASE
a show of new prints by LE GUN at the French House, Soho.

Continuing in the vein of abstracted mythology and cosmic time travel is A Brief Case of George Melly's Briefcase - a show of new prints by Le Gun at the French House, Soho, based on the contents of a briefcase once owned by the late jazz pirate and trout tickler George Melly.

Originally created for the much travelled installation The Unknown Room, this set of drawings captures Melly's fantastical journey through scenes such as James Ensor's Brussels, a decadent oriental bath house and an ancient lost civilisation. As one of Melly's favourite bohemian watering holes the French House makes a fitting setting for this celebration of the great bon viveur.

ON DISPLAY FROM THURSDAY 27TH JUNE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. THE FRENCH HOUSE, DEAN STREET, SOHO.
